Read private analytics

Moments analytics uses no tracking cookies and stores no visitor profile for you to inspect. Unique visitors are deliberately approximate. The dashboard is private and there are no public view or follower counters attached to the journal.

Collection waits for a human interaction signal and avoids obvious automated browsers. Raw IP addresses and user-agent strings are not stored. A journal-specific visitor hash rotates daily, and the same visitor opening the same page repeatedly on one day counts as one view rather than inflating the total.

Country, device, and browser are broad technical groupings rather than an invitation to identify an individual. Use them to understand the shape of reading, not to infer who a particular visitor was.

The summary shows views, approximate unique visitors, photo views, and people viewing now. A timeline makes the chosen period visible. Breakdowns show the journal pages and photographs people opened, referring sites, countries, operating systems, and browsers.

Range controls change the time window. Selecting a row filters the rest of the view to that page, referrer, country, device, or browser; clear the active filter to return to the whole journal.

Private analytics is part of the Supporter plan and begins collecting after it is enabled. If it makes the journal feel less calm rather than more informed, turn it off. A journal does not need a measurement habit to be worthwhile.

If Supporter access ends while analytics is on, the private view is gated and you retain a route to disable collection. Existing photographs and the public journal are not removed.
